If you’re one of those people who just wants to try a headset out for the first time, you’re going to want to go with the Amazon Alexa Dot.
Its pretty much what you’d expect from the Alexa line, which is also the name of the device itself.
The device is a headset and it’s built for a pretty solid, solid price, with a hefty $99 for the base model.
The Dot has a 5.7-inch OLED display and is powered by an Intel Atom X5-T5Y processor and a whopping 32GB of RAM, both of which are on par with some of the higher-end headsets available for $100 to $150.
The Alexa Dot is also water and dust proof, which makes it ideal for anyone who wants to take it with them to the movies or the gym.
If you don’t mind spending a little extra for the best bang for your buck, the Dot is available in white and black.
But the Amazon Echo Dot is a better value for your money, and it has more specs and features than the Dot.
If the Echo Dot sounds like the better deal for your $100 headset, then it’s definitely worth considering.
We’ll have more in-depth reviews of the Echo and Echo Dot in the coming weeks.
If that’s not enough, there are other smart home devices that offer similar features for less money.
